Restoration work update – St Peter & St Paul, Stoke.

At its AGM  in May 2016 at Peter & St Paul Church in Stoke, FKC members saw and heard about the restoration work there.

On 2nd November 2018 our Chairman, Mary Gibbins, received this EMail from Ian Bett, the church warden:-

“Our architect Rena Pitsilli-Graham entered the King of Prussia award for the best  restoration work in the country sponsored by EASA and the National Churches. She was  shortlisted in the last six churches.

Yesterday we attended the award ceremony in London. Rena was second and received a Highly Commended certificate.

The restoration would not have been possible without the very generous grants that the Friends of Kent Churches and others gave us.

The church was honoured to receive a certificate as well as Rena.

Thanks to your grant committee.    Best wishes      Ian”

Our President, The Right Reverend Michael Turnbull, has commented “Ah ! This is what it’s all about. Congratulations to everyone.”
