This Grade 1 Listed church dating from the 12th century had suffered from lead theft from the north and south aisles twice within three years! A temporary non-metal covering sufficed for a few years but inevitably a long term solution became necessary. To meet conservation requirements under ecclesiastical exemption an acceptable alternative metal (zinc) sheeting was eventually approved. We were pleased to help in this respect with a grant of £25,000 paid in 2019.
