Legacies
Leaving a gift in your Will helps us keep our churches alive for future generations
Your Will provides you with an opportunity to decide who you would like to receive your assets and possessions after you have gone. After providing for those you love, a gift in your Will is a very personal way of making a lasting difference and of being remembered for your generosity.
Friends of Kent Churches is a registered charity (number 207021). Legacies are a very important part of our income enabling us to help more churches than would otherwise be possible. Any legacy will be wholly used to fund grants for Kent churches.
Any gifts of money or other assets left to a charity will be free of tax and may reduce the rate charged to the rest of your estate. Your solicitor will be able to advise you of the tax advantages of leaving part of your estate to the Friends of Kent Churches. The Law Society’s website (www.lawsociety.org.uk) can help you locate a solicitor in your area. If you are thinking of leaving a legacy to us we would be very pleased to hear from you by e-mail (see Contacts) although there is absolutely no obligation on your part to do this.
