The weather was kind to the 55 of us who visited three churches near Tenterden on 17 September. Our tour broke new ground in that it started with a visit to Northiam in Sussex: it seems that The Friends have never crossed the county boundary before, but we were well rewarded for the effort, despite part of the church interior being scaffolded for a redecoration project.
